Don't put the restrictor gate back on yet! If the rotary piece with the pins falls out, just put it back into the correct position. To do this, pull on the pins and rotate the central piece that holds them counterclockwise until they snap into the 4-way position (see photo above). Since the 3rd-gen Pac-Man cabinets only use 4-directional inputs, we need to change the Sanwa restrictor gate from 8-way to 4-way.
